Hi Trishann,
THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time to meet with me yesterday. I learned a lot of new stuff, now I just need it all to soak in. When I got home, I wanted to practice the manual shooting some more while it was fresh in my head. I took my husband out to the park by our house and I did okay. I was able to get the shade lighting correct, but I struggled with the sun pictures and I think it is because I do not have the flash yet. But I definitely made progress from the last time I tried to shoot manual before we met.

My recent One on One workshop was with Jodi C. of Lake Tapps, Washington! She attended our Introduction Photography workshop a few months ago and has decided to truly take her Photography skills set to a higher level! Jodi and I spent most of Sunday going over RAW Workflow, Digital Darkroom Techniques, discussed Camera Quality, Lenses and Accessories and Use of Professional Flash! Then we headed down to a local State Park with Forest, Gazebos, Train Tracks and the Beach! Lucky for us there were some families out there enjoying the weather so we had Great subjects for her to practice shoot.
My Tip to you is: Don’t be afraid to use Flash outdoors! Especially when it’s bright and sunny out! It will fill those shadow spaces you get under the eyes, nose and chin and bring some extra life to your subject in the Sun! Practice using Flash correctly and at different distances from your subject and you’ll find the right balance of light!
